The Victoria Lynn Heath Memorial Scholarship Fund was created and started by the coach and players of the Kempsville High School girls soccer team following Vicki's death on April 18, 2006.
The funds of the scholarship are currently adminsitered by Kempsville High School with oversight from the staff and faculty of the Kempsville High School, together with Vicki's husband, Michael Heath.
The goal of the scholarship is to build a base account sufficient enough to ensure the scholarship continues to help high school students through the years. The scholarship also intends to provide at least one scholarship to a high school senior each year who meets the requirements set by a scholarship committee which consists of faculty and staff of Kempsville High School as well as friends and family of Vicki. We intend to ensure the scholarship is consistent with those values that Vicki felt were important; academics, athletics, family, and community and civic involvement.
As the scholarship fund grows we intend to expand the number of scholarships that are awarded annually, together with expanding the geographic area of eligibility.
Because of the scholarship's relationship with Kempsville High School, we are able to use their tax exempt number and your donations to the fund are tax deductible.
